May 24-27, 2007 will be dates that many of us will remember for a long, long time to come! So many great songs were written, so many incredible conversations were shared, so many relationships developed, and so many amazing memories made.
Thank you all for contributing to such a wonderful weekend! The tears of joy that were shed by many as we said goodbye are testimonies of the very special time we share.
Let's keep it alive!! Everyone who attended will have the password to this blog, so let's start out by sharing the stories that led to the retreat and all that happened at the retreat, then let's see what happens to the songs and the writing relationships that developed there! If you have pictures, feel free to post them here. (And Kristie, we'll be expecting baby pictures in a few weeks!!)
Who wants to be the first to start??!

I have a list of complaints I would like to register:
1. The place was too beautiful.
2. The weather was too gorgeous.
3. The food was too good.
4. The other writers were too amazing.
5. The weekend was too inspiring.
6. The songs written were too great.
7. The songwriter prayer was too memorable.
8. The mornings were too early.
9. The laughs were too many.
10. The retreat was TOO SHORT!
My complaint: "Second Opinion" was just way too catchy. It was stuck in my head all weekend, and I'm STILL singing it!
Here's how to post on this blog:
1. Click on the orange square at the top left of the screen.
2. Enter the login info that Joel posted
3. Click on the "+" icon that says "new post" and you're in! Then type your post and click "publish." Voila!
And, I also have a complaint: All of the songs everyone wrote didn't get put on a CD to listen to over and over ... I guess I'll have to wait to hear them on the radio (sigh).
I totally agree that we need a CD with all of the songs written at the retreat! In fact, as you record work tapes and/or demos if you'll e-mail them to me, I would be glad to put them all on a CD and get them to everyone!
